Job Description
Service Technicians are responsible for performing a variable range of service-related HVAC/R activities for industrial, commercial, and residential customers. Representative duties include:
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine HVAC/R service activities normally without direct supervision or on-site assistance.
- As required, serves as a member of an ad hoc company team organized to address a major HVAC/R service or installation job in an efficient, timely, and profitable manner.
- In areas of expertise, assists a Senior Service Technician in the training of new technicians on service-related subjects, including call-back prevention and equipment protocols.
- Conducts bonus-based point-of-work sales of company services, unit components, unit replacements, add-on units, and service contracts, and develops lead referrals.
- As assigned, conducts non-service work in support of other company HVAC/R activities.
- Operates maintains and secures a company vehicle in accordance with instructions discussed in the current Company Employee Handbook.
- Conducts periodic on-call (after work hours) duty.
- Performs related duties as instructed by the Director
Requirements:
- High school graduate; graduate of a post-high school HVAC/R program of instruction of two or more years in duration; demonstrated record of HVAC/R-related continuing education and training.
- Three or more years of successful full-time HVAC/R experience as an installation technician (one year of service experience and two years of installation experience may qualify as an acceptable alternative)
- Good math, verbal, and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers’ instructions and clearly communicate with all customers, suppliers, and company employees.
- Physical and sensory abilities to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and extremes found in the company service territory.
- Interest in maintaining personal HVAC/R skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers’ workshops, and other professional development activities.
- Current and unblemished State vehicle operator’s license; ability to operate all vehicles in the company fleet safely within 30 days of initial employment; insurable.
- Able to use low-key point-of-service sales techniques effectively, including developing sales leads.
- Knows and practices good safety habits, including knowledge of important MSDS, equipment and product safety, tool safety, ladder safety, and crane signals/safety guidelines; willing to be CPR-certified.
- Ability to work under the pressures of time, a non-standard work schedule, adverse weather conditions, customer demands, and backlog constraints.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $53.00 per hour

Requirements:
- Answer the phone quickly and professionally using the company incoming call script.
- Respond to all website and 3rd party marketing leads quickly.
- Be familiar with our company, products, and services.
- Communicate clearly, precisely, and in a friendly manner.
- Take and deliver messages as appropriate. Ensure messages are received and follow-up is appropriate.
- Call customers to schedule appointments.
- Sell and renew service agreements.
- Alert managers quickly to significant customer issues.
- Be a champion of the customers to our company.
- Maintain CRM databases.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time

The Comfort Advisor (CA) responds to all customer inquiries during the sales process. He/she maintains expert knowledge of company products and services and drives maximum profitability through in home sales. The CA creates and facilitates all sales tickets, sales functions and coordinates with all necessary parties to ensure that sales proceed smoothly and efficiently and to the customer’s satisfaction. Performs other duties/tasks as required. Representative duties include:
Responsibilities:
- Schedules sales appointments and meets with potential customers in their homes to explain the company’s products and services. Conducts a thorough inspection of interior and exterior areas of potential customer's property to determine how best to serve the customer.
- Responds to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices and quotations, complaints and scheduling of deliveries and installations, and providing customer follow-ups.
- Makes sales presentations to customers based on inspection and issues identified by addressing any questions, explaining the process and setting expectations.
- Focuses on securing the maximum profitable sales opportunity with each customer through excellent selling, service and problem-solving. Develops profitable business with new customers through excellent selling, service and problem-solving.
- Achieves sales performance objectives through assigned leads and new business development.
- Serves as a problem solver for customers by utilizing the in-depth training provided to decide on the best overall solution for each customer's needs.
- Coordinates purchase and delivery of special products. Obtains information on pricing specifications, uses and availability.
- Codes and inputs customer orders, pricing information and additional data into the computer system.
- Continuously improves and maintains in-depth product knowledge. Shares expertise, guiding customers to make the best product and service selections that will provide value to their business, while enhancing company profitability.
Requirements:
- Previous inside sales experience required/preferred
- Industry knowledge and experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
- Neat, clean, professional appearance.
- Other background checks (if applicable)
- Job generally works indoors and is somewhat physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods of time, lifting heavy objects on an occasional basis, and working with challenging clients.
